Amazon Prime Music Debuts In India: Prime Members Can Use For Free

The wait is over and Amazon has finally launched its Prime Music service in India. The Amazon Prime Music is now available in 46 countries including the US and India. The good news is that if you are a prime member then you can use it for free with your Amazon Prime subscription. You can not only use it on your android phone but also on iOS, Mac, Windows, and the Web. If you are an Amazon shopper then you don't need to download any other online music streaming app because the prime music has over 2 million songs and prime members don't need to pay for it.

I was eagerly waiting for Amazon Prime Music for a long time and had previously tried Wynk Music and Jio Music. But Wynk run annoying ads that sometimes degrades the user experience. On the other hand, Jio Music is free to use and ad-free but isn't available on PC/Mac. Amazon Prime Music is completely ad-free because it comes along with Amazon Prime subscription which can be purchased for 499₹ Rupees per year and is available to download for Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac OS. Amazon Prime is now one subscription service with three benefits (shopping, video, and music). It is cheaper than Wynk music which costs around 1200₹ per year.

How to Download Amazon Prime Music on Android

• Download the Amazon Music APK from this Google Play Store link
• Install and open it. During the initial setup, you will be asked to choose the language for your songs. You can select multiple languages.

The Amazon Music app is a music player app for Android which lets you create song playlists, search for music on the cloud, and download your favorite music to listen to it later. The app will also show your music files (songs) that are stored on your phone. There is a problem with Amazon Music if you have call recordings or voice recordings saved on the device. As these recordings will show up in the Amazon Music app. Since these recordings shouldn't be visible in the app so we have to hide them. To hide any unnecessary audio file put a '.nomedia' file in its folder. Copy and paste this '.nomedia' file in every folder which has voice recordings.

• Download and install the Amazon Music from this link.
• Click the 'Mac & PC' download link. Clicking the link will automatically download the installer for the OS that you are using.
• After installing the software just sign in with your Amazon account with prime membership and start using the Amazon Music for free.
• After opening the player app. Click your name at the top and click 'Settings'.
• In 'General' click 'Music Preferences' and select different languages for songs.
• Click 'Advanced' and select the 'Audio Quality'. But keeping the quality set to auto will save data.

• Go to https://music.amazon.com and choose your country.
• After selecting the country sign in with your account details.
• After signing in the web player start using it. The Amazon Music Web player looks like this below.

The only thing you may not like about Amazon Music is that it is not free. One should be an Amazon Prime member to use this. In India, this membership can be bought for 499₹ per year. The prime membership gives three benefits (priority shopping, video, and music). So taking this membership is far much better than buying other online video and music streaming services separately like NetFlix or Spotify unlimited.
