Moto G4 and G4 Plus Start Receiving Android 7.0 Nougat Update in US

Good news for Moto G4 and G4 Plus users in the United States as the phones are ready to receive the android 7.0 Nougat update. Android 7.0 Nougat update will bring many UI enhancements and performance improvements to your Moto G fourth generation smartphones. With android Nougat you will be able to use split screen view on your Moto G4 Plus which is one of the most useful feature. Other useful features inlcude swipe to shrink, a new boot animation, lock and unlock your phone with the fingerprint sensor, direct reply to notifications.

This newest software build comes with December security patch. Google assistant may debut on your Moto G4 plus as Google has confirmed official rollout of the Google assistant in the US. Keep the Google app updated and tap the home button to activate the Google assistant.

The update weighs around 800 MB in size having a build number NPJ25.93-13. If you phone is facing screen burn issues then this update will not fix it.

To update your phone go to 'Settings>About phone>System updates'. Make sure that the battery is charged to at least 60% before installing the update.
