How To Send/Receive Files Via WiFi Hotspot On Android

WiFi Hotspot is a WiFi adapter with which you can share your android phone’s internet connection with other smartphones, tablets or even laptop computers. WiFi hotspot feature is present in android since it came into existence and is sometimes known as Mi-Fi. Till now you may thinking that WiFi Hotspot is a good way to share your android phone’s internet connection with other devices, but with WiFi hotspot you can send and receive any kind of file to and from other android devices at blazing fast speeds. Well till now you may be using Bluetooth to share files but let me tell you Bluetooth is the slowest way of sharing files and it takes longer to share large files. NFC is other way but its of no use unless both devices have it. But with WiFi Hotspot file sharing you can share even larger files upto 500MB within few minutes, that’s a lot of time saving.

Well android doesn’t have built in support to share files via WiFi Hotspot. There is an app ‘SuperBeam’ in playstore with which you can do the above mentioned trick. Superbeam app can be installed on any android phone having WiFi Hotspot functionally from android 2.3 to android 5.0 Lollipop. And that is not all with Superbeam app you can also share any file with your laptop computers. So you can see that the Superbeam app is a fast way to share files on android devices. In this tutorial I am going to teach you how you can use this app to use your phone’s WiFi Hotspot to send and receive any file at blazing fast speeds.

Download Superbeam

Note: The free version of this app only allows three files to be shared if you are using the the reciever’s web browser to receive files. But there is a solution to this problem that make a zip file of all the files that you want to share and then send it. Hence this limitation is removed. To create zip files on android you can use androzip.
