Manually Update Moto G To Official Android 4.4.3 Kitkat Firmware With ADB Sideload


Motorola Moto G has received an official firmware update to android 4.4.3 Kitkat which is the latest android OS. Motorola released the update for Moto G in US and is yet to be released worldwide in phases. No matter Moto G is the best  smartphone in the market with decent specs and powerful hardware. As a Moto G user you should update your phone for best performance and bug fixes. Currently US users have only got the update notification. If you live outside of US then there is no need to wait for the Moto G update to be released in your country. I will teach you how you can update your Moto G to official android 4.4.3 KitKat 210.12.32.falcon_umts firmware either by using CWM recovery or by using android sdk. The new update is just 169 MB in size.

How To Manually Update Moto G To Official Android 4.4.3 Kitkat 210.12.32.falcon_umts Firmware

By Using CWM Recovery

  • If you have already installed CWM recovery on your Moto G then use this method.
  • Download the android 4.4.3 Kitkat 210.12.32.falcon_umts Moto G.
  • Transfer this update file from your computer to your phone.
  • Now turn off the phone and reboot in recovery mode.
  • Now select ‘Install zip from sdcard’ then select ‘choose zip from sdcard’.
  • Choose the android 4.4.3 Kitkat 210.12.32.falcon_umts file and let the phone to upgrade.
  • If after upgrade phone doesn’t work properly then factory reset it in recovery mode by wiping cache and data.
By Using Android SDK ADB Sideload

  • Download and install android SDK on your PC/MAC/Linux.
  • Copy the update file in ‘Fastboot/ADB’ folder.
  • Turn off your phone and reboot into recovery mode.
  • On your computer go to Fastboot folder and open command window there. Simple press ‘Shift’ key then right click and choose ‘Open command window here’.
  • Now connect your Moto G to PC via USB cable.
  • In command window type “adb sideload Blur_Version.174.44.1.falcon_umts.AWSRetail.en.US.zip” and press enter.
  • The android 4.4.3 KitKat 210.12.32.falcon_umts official firmware will now be installed on your Moto G.
You have successfully upgraded your Moto G to latest android 4.4.3 KitKat 210.12.32.falcon_umts firmware.
